Thinking about an MBA in the UK or Europe for 2027? The calendar works differently from the US. Take a look at the top US and European business schools and you will see how much admissions differ. In EU and UK, some schools closed their first round in August, while others have deadlines almost every month until summer.

Round 1 has closed at most top schools, but plenty of options are still open. INSEAD closes Round 2 on 3 November, Oxford Saïd's next stage closes on 4 November, and HEC Paris and Warwick both have deadlines on 15 November. Then, between 4 and 26 January 2027, most of the leading UK and European schools close another round.

How UK and European MBA Rounds Work

Most business schools split admissions into rounds, each with its own deadline and decision date. European schools vary much more than US schools do.

More rounds: Cambridge, Oxford and Warwick run five or six rounds. Esade runs nine, and HEC Paris has deadlines roughly every month.
Earlier starts: Cambridge's first deadline was 24 August 2026, and Oxford's was 2 September. If you are targeting these schools, plan to be ready by late summer.
Different intakes: INSEAD's main intake starts in August, not September. IMD starts in January, so its next deadlines are for January 2028.
Rolling admissions: IE and ESSEC review applications on a rolling basis. Earlier is still better, especially for scholarships.
